FILLMORE, Millard County — Authorities have identified a man who died after a pickup truck rolled over on I-15 near Fillmore early Thursday morning, authorities said.

The crash took place about 5:15 a.m. on I-15 several miles north of Fillmore, according to a news release from the highway patrol.

A 2008 Ram pickup truck that was hauling a large flatbed trailer entered the freeway, and about a mile later, the trailer started fishtailing, the release said. The trailer kept fishtailing until the driver lost control of the truck, which went sideways into the median and rolled.

A male passenger in the truck was ejected, the release said. He was taken to a hospital but later died from his injuries.

Lucio Mata-Castro, 28, of Heyburn, Idaho, died in the crash, Utah Highway Patrol officials said Friday.

A second passenger in the truck suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive. The driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries.

Further information about the crash was not released.
