MIDVALE — One person is in custody and police are searching for two more after investigators say the group robbed a man at gunpoint on Monday.

According to Unified Police Lt. Manfred Lassig, a man was approached by three people in a car who robbed him at gunpoint. The three individuals pulled out of the parking lot and the man followed them in his car, Lassig said.

The pursuit ended when the suspects' car crashed into another vehicle near 7770 S. 700 East and then drove into an apartment complex, KSL TV reported. Some of the occupants of the fleeing car ran into an apartment building. Lassig said that one of the three males in custody and K-9's were searching for the other two.

The person currently in custody is a juvenile, according to police. He's being held for investigation of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Unified Police Department at 385-468-9350.

Further information was not released.
