SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 1,082 new cases of COVID-19 and 7 new deaths Monday in its daily update of coronavirus statistics.
Utah now has 324,919 total confirmed cases and 1,500 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are 568 Utahns currently hospitalized with the virus, with total hospitalizations since the beginning of the pandemic at 12,576. While case counts are diminishing, hospitalizations remain elevated with the state's ICU beds are at 90.4% capacity and referral ICU beds are 95.4% occupied. Non-ICU beds in the state are currently at 50.2% capacity.
With 4,649 new tests conducted, the weekly positivity rate has fallen to 21.1% from 22.6% the day before. The weekly rolling average of COVID-19 cases is now at 2,154 cases per day.
The health department also confirmed that 168,908 total vaccine doses have been administered in the state, up by 16,399 from the day before.
1,906,909 Utahns have been tested for COVID-19, and 3,057,437 total tests have been reported in the state thus far.
Of the seven new deaths reported Monday, four were women and three were men. Three were hospitalized at their time of death.

- A Weber County man between the ages of 65-84, not hospitalized at his time of death.
