SALT LAKE CITY — A woman was arrested by Salt Lake police for allegedly stabbing her husband.

On Wednesday, Audrey Ann Casuse, 32, of Salt Lake City, was drinking with her husband when she "became upset with victim, mad he was not contributing to the house, and for yelling at her children," according to a police affidavit.

Casuse then began hitting the man with several items around the residence, including a folding dinner tray made of wood, the affidavit states.

Four children were in the home during the attack. At least one of them saw their mother grab a knife, "which she began stabbing into the back of victim's head and neck, causing serious lacerations and punctures," according to the affidavit.

Casuse was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, four counts of domestic violence in front of a child, intoxication and criminal mischief.
