(KSL News) Police arrested a man who they say beat another man with a metal bat over of text messages.
They booked Joshua Erskin in the Salt Lake County Jail Thursday on investigation of attempted homicide and forcible robbery.

Police say he and another man, Bryan Miller, attacked the victim and his friend after they'd invited some girls through text messaging to meet them at a softball complex in Taylorsville. The victim was hospitalized for six days with a skull fracture.
