6 injured after wrong-way driver causes multivehicle crash near Heber

HEBER — A wrong-way driver crossed into eastbound traffic, causing a head-on crash and injuring six on state Route 40 near Heber.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, six people had minor to moderate injuries. The wrong-way driver may have been driving under the influence, officials said.

Eastbound lanes were closed and traffic was being diverted around into westbound lanes after the accident; the lanes have since reopened.

The identities of the people involved were not released.
