Woman who was killed after hitting semitruck near Riverside identified by police

RIVERSIDE — Police identified the woman who was killed in a crash Wednesday morning after colliding with a semitruck.

The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a white Honda Odyssey van traveling south on 4400 West at the intersection of state Route 30.

Officials later identified the was as Amy Marlene Davis, 38, of Beaver Dam.

For unknown reasons, Davis failed to stop at the intersection and struck a semitruck that was traveling eastbound on state Route 30. The impact of the crash occurred at the rear axle of the trailer. Davis, who was the only occupant of the van, sustained fatal injuries.

The driver of the semi was not injured.
