DUCK CREEK VILLAGE, Kane County — A UTV passenger died after the vehicle crashed and rolled early Friday morning, authorities said.

The crash took place about 3 a.m. Friday on state Route 14, just west of Duck Creek Village in Kane County, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

Four people were riding in the Polaris UTV when the driver entered a curve in the roadway too fast, the release said. The driver overcorrected, causing the UTV to go off the right side of the road and roll over.

A woman who was riding in the backseat on the driver's side was ejected from the UTV and died from her injuries. The other three passengers weren't ejected and suffered only minor injuries, the release said.

The woman was not identified. Further details about the crash weren't available.
