OGDEN — Police are searching for a person of interest in connection with an overnight shooting in Ogden.

About 2:45 a.m. Monday, police responded to the intersection of 22nd Street and Monroe Boulevard, where they discovered two people with gunshot wounds to their torsos.

One of the injured was a man in his 50s, and the other was in his teens, according to a news release from the Ogden Police Department. The two were related to each other, police said, and both were taken to a local hospital and underwent surgery. They were in stable condition and expected to survive as of Monday morning, police said.

Investigators identified a person of interest but have not located that person yet, police said. The shooting appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

Police did not provide the identity for the person of interest or the two people who were injured. Further details about the shooting weren’t available Monday and the investigation is ongoing.
