SALT LAKE CITY — A man is in critical condition Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle on Beck Street early in the morning.
The wreck happened about 1:30 a.m., according to Salt Lake Police Sgt. Andrew Cluff. The biker was traveling south at a high speed when he lost control of the motorcycle about 850 North, about where Beck Street turns into 300 West, Cluff said.
The man laid down the bike. He was not wearing a helmet, the sergeant said, and slid into the median.
"He left the scene in critical condition," Cluff said, but he wasn't yet sure of the man's condition as of Sunday afternoon.
The crash is under investigation.
