THE STREETS — Cats do what they want, but generally we expect them to do one thing — hunt and kill rodents.
And in the video featured here, that’s just the beginning we get with a cat stalking and confronting a rat in the street of an unnamed city.
But apparently someone forgot to tell the rat that it wasn’t in an episode of "Tom and Jerry" (and that he wasn’t a mouse).
You would expect the rat to run and find the closest hidey-hole, especially on a street that has many options available to it. But instead of flight mode, the rat immediately goes into fight mode, and it turns around and gives the cat a piece of its mind.
With every lunge, the cat gets more and more afraid and starts to run from the rat. Instead of taking it as a win, the rat keeps chasing and chasing the cat. As far as we know, that cat is still running to this day.
As a special bonus to this video, the cat and rat run past a few people, and they don’t seem to notice the reversed drama that is happening under their very feet. But it serves to make the clip more enjoyable.
TL;DR Cat chases rat. Rat chases cat. No one notices cat and rat. You laugh at cat and rat.
