PRICE — The Carbon County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in locating a man who hasn't been heard from since last Thursday.

Donald Brown, 68, was reportedly traveling from Denver on his way to Las Vegas. He is about 5-foot-7 and bald, with a graying beard; officials said he might be wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a baseball cap.

Brown's empty vehicle was discovered by hunters on Friday. It was near the base of Sam Canyon near Whitmore Park Road in rural Carbon County.

Carbon County search and rescue teams are currently searching the area near the vehicle. The sheriff's office asks that anyone who has seen Brown contact Price Dispatch or call 911.
