OGDEN — An Ogden man is accused of having “hundreds of images” of child pornography.

Christopher Lee Carey, 36, was charged Friday in 2nd District Court with 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.

According to a police affidavit filed when Carey was booked into the Weber County Jail, a woman with whom he had had a relationship with found child pornography on Carey’s phone and reported it to police. She also “was able to provide evidence as well as account information for several cloud storage services that Carey uses to hide the illegal and explicit images,” the affidavit states.

Investigators served a search warrant on the cloud storage devices and found “hundreds of images of children, varying in ages, engaged in sexually explicit acts ranging from infants, to toddlers, to teenagers, with each folder of the images organized by age range and category,” according to the affidavit.

When he was arrested, Carey admitted to having more images on his cellphone and laptop, the affidavit states.
