Police identify woman found dead in Jordan River as 43-year-old Bountiful resident

SOUTH SALT LAKE — On Monday, police released the name of a deceased woman recovered from the Jordan River on Friday.

The woman was identified as Robin Gray, 43, of Bountiful, and South Salt Lake police said she had been camping along the river prior to her death.

An autopsy was completed Saturday at the state medical examiner’s office to determine Gray’s cause of death. As of Monday, the cause and further information about the incident had not been publicly released.

Detectives again asked the public for help in the investigation and asked anyone with information about Gray or the circumstances surrounding her death to call 801-940-4000 or 801-412-3600.
