ST. GEORGE — A rollover crash in St. George late Thursday afternoon resulted in a man being ejected from the vehicle, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred near the St. George Regional Airport on state Route 7. The UHP says a 20-year-old man was driving east in a 2006 Ford Ranger when the right rear tire "separated" and the man lost control of the truck. The vehicle slid into the center median and "impacted a drainage culvert," the UHP said; the man was ejected through the driver's window and landed in the shoulder of the westbound lanes.

The man was unresponsive, and CPR was performed on site. He was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

The crash closed lanes on SR 7 for a few hours, but the road had reopened by Thursday evening.
