SALT LAKE CITY — Unified Fire Authority officials have canceled an evacuation order issued Saturday evening for Millcreek Canyon due to the Crestwood Fire.

Officials said while the Crestwood Fire, which started late in the day, quickly grew from about 2-3 acres in size to approximately 10-15 acres, fire crews were able to reach 10% containment on the blaze by 8:45 p.m.

Two helicopters and 2 single-engine air tankers were assisting with the fire response, as were multiple crews from Unified Fire Authority, Salt Lake City Fire Department and South Salt Lake Fire Department.

Two other fires started in Tooele County Saturday afternoon. For more information, check out the blog below.
