(KSL News) A teenager is in critical condition after he was hit by a truck while riding his bicycle in Draper this afternoon.

The 16-year-old boy was traveling southbound on 1000 East and continued through a red light at the intersection with 12300 South. The driver of a truck traveling through the intersection could not stop in time and hit the teen.

Draper police Sgt. Chad Carpenter said the boy suffered head, torso and leg injuries and was air-lifted to Primary Children's Medical Center.
