(KSL News) -- Representatves of Evangelical churches from across the Wasatch Front met in Salt Lake this afternoon. The pastors joined together to announce the Christian Solidarity campaign.
Pastor Mark Hladak, Crossroads Christian Fellowship: "It's a statement of unity saying that we're not competitors, but we're partners together and we seek to grow in our relationship together as pastors and churches."
Representatives say the Christian Solidarity movement helps express the idea that the different churches are tied together through their belief in Jesus Christ.
Participating churches and ministries will display a sign in front of their churches and meeting houses. The idea came from a pastor who saw a similar sign while traveling in Britain. An English minister told him the churches realized they needed to work together to advance the gospel.
