The big BYU versus Utah football game is only a few days away, and the memories of the past few times these teams have gotten together is bringing back a lot of memories for former players.

KSL Newsradio spoke with some former BYU football players who were on the team and remember well the last time BYU played at Rice-Eccles Stadium in 2006.

Nate Hutchinson says, "I threw my helmet in the air. I'm hugging all the cheerleaders. My helmet ended up, somehow, in all the Utah players on their sideline. So I proudly went over there and got my helmet as I smiled at all of them."

Hutchinson says that game was one of his favorites.

Former BYU wide receiver Nate Meikle remembers his drive home with his wife after that game.

Meikle recalls, "And she says, ‘Actually, I kinda liked the way it ended because that way you guys ripped their heart out at the end.'"

Of course there's plenty of Utes looking for some payback.
