Before you make plans for another Bingham vs. Alta clash in the 5A title game you better "Remember the Titans".
Before each game the Syracuse Titans football team has a special team chant that begins, " I'm a Titan for life...make the other team pay the price."
This season, ten teams have paid the price as the Titans, in just their second year of existence have made a remarkable run to Thursday's 5A semifinal at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
"Yeah, it's been exciting! It's been an exciting year!" said linebacker KJ Medina.
The key to their success is no secret.
Quarterback Braden Hamblin credits the hard work this team put in during the offseason. Head Coach Russ Jones says that isn't the only thing to help the Titans reach the semifinals.
"A little bit of luck you know" Jones said. "It takes some luck to get where we are right now."
Syracuse has won 6 games decided by 7 points or less, including last Friday's thrilling, last second, upset victory over 3rd ranked Pleasant Grove.
"We've been the underdog a lot this year and we like that...go prove everyone wrong" said Hamblin.
But finding success has not been easy for this program. Last year the team didn't have any seniors and finished the season 0-10, taking a beating against bigger and stronger teams in Region 1. Then, this summer, some members of the team were charged with breaking into almost a dozen businesses.
"Adversity helped us a lot," says two-way lineman Jake Anderson, "you become stronger, you get closer together, you become a team. I think that is the biggest part, the more you're a team the better off you play together."
"It was way difficult," said Hamblin. "We made the choice to come over from Clearfield knowing we would be going up against bigger, stronger and faster guys.
Now they face defending champion Alta and once again the Titans will be underdogs. A win over the Hawks and these Titans will be remembered forever.
