(KSL News) The children of the man accused of gunning down his wife in a church parking lot are now in the permanent custody of their maternal grandparents.

The Deseret News reports that yesterday a mediator ruled Brandon and Carter Ragsdale will live with Ann and Albert Palizzi in Washington state.

Maternal grandparents get permanent custody of Ragdale's children

The couple has had temporary custody of the boys since their daughter Kristi was shot and killed in January.

Kristi's estranged husband David, the father of the boys, is now charged in her death.
