(KSL News) Attorneys for two juveniles accused of murder say it's inhumane to house them at the Salt Lake County Jail.

Attorneys say murder suspects being treated inhumanely

The attorneys tell the Salt Lake Tribune Gabriel Alvarez and Mae Goodman Johnson, both 16, are being kept in isolation at the jail and have no access to schooling or books.

They want them moved to a juvenile detention center if conditions at the adult jail don't improve.

The suspects are charged in the July drive-by shooting that killed 7-year-old Maria Menchaca.
