OGDEN — Both directions of I-15 reopened about an hour after downed power lines forced a closure on Friday.

The fire that took down the lines had been extinguished by 8:30 p.m., Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Andy Battenfield said. Both directions of I-15 at 21st Street had been shut down but reopened by 9:30, the Utah Department of Transportation reported.

The downed lines caused about 2,165 customers in the Ogden area to lose power, Rocky Mountain Power reported.
