VINEYARD — A 35-year-old man awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of unlawful sexual activity with a minor is facing a new charge for allegedly having sex with another minor while out of jail, according to court records.

Aaron Z. Nebeker, of Vineyard, was charged Wednesday in 4th District Court with one count of illegal sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony.

In August, he was charged with three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor for allegedly giving a 14-year-old runway girl ecstasy and having sex with her in 2018, according to charging documents. A preliminary hearing in that case is scheduled for September.

In January, a 16-year-old girl, who is a friend of the victim in the first case, reached out to Nebeker to find out more about his case, charging documents state. They exchanged several messages on social media and Nebeker ended up going out with the girl to get drugs, the charges state.

The next day, Nebeker took the teen back to his residence “where, she thinks, he surreptitiously gave her more drugs in her drink. (She) reported that she was in and out of consciousness but recalled Mr. Nebeker on top of her,” according to the charges.

When confronted the next morning, “Mr. Nebeker defended his actions by telling (the girl) that she wanted to have sex, and that she made a deal with him in which he would give her $50 for having sex with him. (She) acknowledged receiving $50 from Mr. Nebeker,” the charges state.
