(AP) — Riding a five-game winning streak and closing in on its customary perch atop the Big Ten standings, the 17th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team turned around its season with a minimum of assistance from fiery coach Brenda Frese. They watched film of the Iowa game without Frese and have since dedicated themselves to correcting their own mistakes. Maryland now trails first-place Iowa by one game.
