ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Jeff Undercuffler found Tyler Oedekoven on a 32-yard pass play to break a fourth-quarter tie and Albany toppled New Hampshire 24-17 on Saturday in a meeting of teams tied for second place in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Tied at 17 in the final quarter, Albany (7-4, 5-2) sent five receivers downfield on a second-and-9 play. Oedekoven’s burst of speed down the left sideline beat his defender and Undercuffler hit him in stride at the 2 with a rainbow of a pass for the winning score.
Undercuffler completed 16 of 27 passes for 199 yards. He was sacked four times. Karl Mofor gained 107 yards rushing with two TDs.
Max Brosmer completed 19 of 32 passes for 142 yards for New Hampshire (5-5, 4-3), but was intercepted twice. He and Evan Gray each scored rushing touchdowns for the Wildcats.
