CEDAR CITY — The search for a missing Iron County woman is expected to resume about 10 a.m. Monday morning, authorities say.

Carol Stratton, 71, was last seen about 2 p.m. Saturday near 3700 W. 4000 North in Cedar City, officials said.

Authorities covered about 20 square miles in the search over the weekend, Iron County Sheriff’s Lt. Del Schlosser said. Law enforcement officials continued searching for her Sunday evening after the public search was called off about 7 p.m., he said.

Any members of the public who wish to help search for Stratton should come to the Iron County Sheriff’s Office command center, 2132 N. Main Street in Cedar City, at 10 a.m.

Stratton has dementia and is non-verbal, officials said. She was last seen wearing an orange and blue sweater with red hat and a jeweled necklace.

Anyone with information about Stratton is asked to call the Iron County Sheriff’s Office at 435-867-7500.
