DRAPER — A 22-year-old woman died after being hit by a car in Draper Monday morning, according to police.

The woman was crossing the street in a crosswalk about 7:20 a.m. near 11500 S. Lone Peak Parkway, according to Draper Police Sgt. Mike Elkins.

A driver hit the woman, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Elkins. She was later identified on Tuesday as Elizabeth Bruschi, 22, according to a news release from the Draper Police Department.

Police initially said Bruschi was 20, but clarified Tuesday that she was 22.

The driver remained on scene and was working with police, Elkins added.

It was very dark and there was rain falling in the area when Bruschi was hit, Elkins said. Investigators were looking at several possible factors in the crash, including speed, but police had not yet determined the exact cause of the crash, he said.
