ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — In a game with possible playoff ramifications, No. 3 Georgia hosts No. 7 Notre Dame before an expected crowd of more than 93,000. Both teams have their sights on a national football title, and this game could go a long way toward determining which teams get a shot. This is a rematch of the game two years ago in South Bend, where the Bulldogs held on for a 20-19 win that helped propel them all the way to the national championship game.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — After playing their first big game of the season on the road at top-ranked Clemson, No. 17 Texas A&M gets its next big test in front of the home crowd. The Aggies host eighth-ranked Auburn on Saturday. The Aggies try to adhere to coach Jimbo Fisher's mantra of treating every game the same, but some players noticed a difference this week as they prepare for the Tigers in their Southeastern Conference opener.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Tennessee might have a two-game winning streak in Gainesville against Florida if not for a pair of 63-yard touchdowns late. The Gators avoided upsets both in both games and added to their dominance in what used to be the most prominent football series in the Southeastern Conference's Eastern Division. Tennessee gets another shot to upend ninth-ranked Florida on Saturday.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas coach Chad Morris was wary of calling last week's win over Colorado State a turning point. He came close. Arkansas beat Colorado State with three fourth-quarter touchdowns, turning a tie game into a rout. It was just the second win over an FBS opponent the Razorbacks have had since Morris was hired in December 2017. Morris wants to build on that momentum heading into Saturday's home game against San Jose State.
