SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are trying to figure out Thursday how a man ended up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
The man showed up at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center Thursday morning seeking treatment for a gunshot, said Salt Lake police detective Michael Ruff. How the man got there or details about his injury were not immediately available.
The man was transported to a different hospital and was reported to be “stable,” Ruff said.
Detectives determined the shooting happened in the area of 950 S. Redwood Road, likely sometime early Thursday, he said.
All other details, including information about the shooter and motive, were still under investigation, Ruff said.
