PROVO, Utah (AP) — Provo police say a passer-by shot and fatally wounded a man who was fighting with a woman in a driveway.
Police say 26-year-old Jeremy Sorensen was shot twice Monday night after the passer-by stopped his car and ordered Sorenson to leave the 18-year-old woman alone.
According to police, the passer-by did not know Sorenson or the woman and that he stayed at the scene. His identity wasn't released.
Police said Sorenson died at a hospital.
Police on Tuesday were continuing their investigation and no immediate arrest was made.
The woman was treated at a hospital for injuries suffered in the fight. Police described her as an acquaintance of Sorenson.
