MILLCREEK — Six water main breaks which slowed traffic in Millcreek Wednesday morning had been fixed by Wednesday evening, officials said.

Crews identified a malfunctioning pressure reduction valve at 2300 E. 2700 South in Millcreek and removed it from service about 7 a.m. as they worked to repair the main breaks that occurred overnight, according to tweets from Salt Lake City Public Utilities.

Water pressure in some areas was throttled and residences from 3200 to 3300 S. Highland Dr. had no water. A Crown Burger in the area was also closed because of the breaks.

Salt Lake City Public Utilities confirmed Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. that all the water main breaks had been fixed.

The breaks were located at:

  • 3200 S. Highland Dr.
  • 3017 S. 2000 East
  • 1704 E. Millcreek Way
  • 2977 S. 1400 East
  • 1337 E. Kensington Ave.
  • 1280 E. Crystal Ave.
