CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Zion Williamson had the go-ahead tip-in on his own miss with 30.3 seconds left and fifth-ranked Duke held off third-ranked North Carolina 74-73 in the Atlantic Coast Conference semifinals. Williamson had 31 points and 11 rebounds and the Blue Devils (28-5) survived a fight with their fierce rival in a classic that went down to the final play. Cameron Johnson had 23 points for the Tar Heels (27-6).

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — David Nichols scored 14 points and No. 12 Florida State knocked off No. 2 Virginia 69-59 on Friday night to advance to the championship game of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament. Phil Cofer had 11 points and 7-foot-3 center Christ Koumadje added nine points and nine rebounds for the Seminoles. The Virginia loss comes on the same floor where they became the first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament to lose to a 16 seed in Maryland-Baltimore County last year.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — As No. 3 Notre Dame awaits its seeding in the NCAA Tournament, Jackie Young has emerged as the do-everything player for coach Muffet McGraw's defending champions. The junior guard from Indiana is averaging 14.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Several senior teammates are expected to be picked in the WNBA draft after the season. Young has not said if she plans to leave school early to join them.

ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Tech has been informed the NCAA has found alleged major recruiting violations by former assistant coach Darryl LaBarrie and a former friend of coach Josh Pastner. Of the three allegations made public by Georgia Tech, the NCAA says two are considered to be a "severe breach of conduct" which is considered the highest level of violations.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Duke freshman sensation Zion Williamson's nearly flawless performance in the ACC Tournament had the college basketball world buzzing. Returning from a knee injury wearing a modified pair of Nikes, Williamson's athleticism, energy, engaging smile and thunderous dunks were on full display. Coach Mike Krzyzewski says Nike sent their top people to Duke and then "those people went to China to actually look at the making of a shoe that would be very supportive" for the 6-foot-7, 285-pound Williamson.
