5A basketball tourney blog: Quarterfinal matchups set

OGDEN — The boys opened up the 5A state basketball tournament at the Dee Events Center in Ogden on Tuesday. The tournament will go through the week, with a champion being named Saturday.

Corner Canyon topped Wasatch 75-64 to move into Thursday’s quarterfinals against Highland, which stunned Bountiful 71-60.

Skyridge and East will open the quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by Murray and Jordan at 4:10 p.m., and Olympus and Timpanogos at 5:50 p.m.
