LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ryan Day is getting his final week of preparation to step into the spotlight as Ohio State's head coach. Day is the Buckeyes' co-offensive coordinator under Urban Meyer until the conclusion of the 105th edition of the Rose Bowl. Right after that, Day becomes the 25th head coach in Ohio State history, charged with preserving and improving a storied program coming off one of its most successful stretches.

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — The Rose Bowl will mark the final collegiate start for Washington's Jake Browning. Whether or not it will be for Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins remains a mystery. Haskins' future has been as much a topic of conversation as Urban Meyer's final game as the Buckeyes' coach. The redshirt sophomore finished third in Heisman Trophy voting after leading the nation with 4,580 passing yards and 47 touchdowns while directing the Buckeyes to a Big Ten title.

NEW YORK (AP) — Muffet McGraw earned a milestone win against the school where she got her coaching start. McGraw became the fourth-fastest coach to reach 900 victories on Sunday when No. 2 Notre Dame beat Lehigh 95-68.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Jim Harbaugh shook up his coaching staff nearly a year ago as he entered his fourth season at Michigan. For a while, the moves looked good. The Wolverines won 10 straight games after opening the season with a seven-point loss at Notre Dame. They dashed high hopes by losing 41-15 against No. 10 Florida in the Peach Bowl and 62-39 at Ohio State last month. Harbaugh says he doesn't anticipate making changes again with his assistants this offseason.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — It will be hard for Kyle Whittingham to ever top his experience in the Holiday Bowl. Now the coach of the No. 20 Utah Utes, Whittingham played for BYU in the first four Holiday Bowls, from 1978-81.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Iggy Brazdeikis scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half, and No. 2 Michigan eventually pulled away for a 74-52 victory over Binghamton. The Wolverines led just 46-43 before a 19-4 run put the game away. Jordan Poole scored 18 points and Zavier Simpson had two points, nine rebounds and a career-high 10 assists. Chancellor Barnard led the Bearcats with 14 points. Michigan was the highest-ranked opponent in the history of the Binghamton program.

EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Vic Law had 21 points, five rebounds and five assists, Ryan Taylor also scored 21 and Northwestern overcame a sluggish start for a 75-54 victory over Columbia. Dererk Pardon had 12 points and 10 rebounds despite first-half foul trouble for Northwestern, which has won three of four.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Nia Clouden scored 27 points, Jenna Allen had 17 rebounds, both career highs, and No. 20 Michigan State pulled away from No. 16 Iowa in the second half for an 84-70 win in the Big Ten Conference opener. The one-two punch for the Spartans (11-1) offset a 30-point, 14-rebound outing for Megan Gustafson, who became the all-time leading scorer for the Hawkeyes (9-3).
