TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man by a police officer inside a Walmart in Tennessee.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a news release that Tullahoma police went to the store Friday night after receiving information that a wanted person was inside.
TBI says officers approached 34-year-old Mark Wade Luttrell Jr., and he attempted to pull a gun on them. TBI says an officer fired at Luttrell, who was hit and died at the scene.
The officer involved was not immediately identified. TBI says it will send results of its investigation to the district attorney for review.
