FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) — Sean Flood hit five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points — both career highs — on 6-of-9 shooting to help Longwood beat Stetson 77-63 on Friday night.
Jaylon Wilson, a juco transfer who missed the first 11 games of the season with a hand injury, added career highs of four 3s and 14 points and JaShaun Smith scored 11 for Longwood.
Spencer Franklin's layup made it 4-3 and the Lancers (9-5) led the rest of the way. Stetson trailed by as many as 12 before trimming its deficit to 36-30 at the break. But Shabooty Phillips hit a 3 and Wilson added two more to make it 45-32 just 92 seconds into the second half and Longwood led by at least nine the rest of the way.
Longwood made 25 of 50 from the field and set season highs for 3-point percentage (53.1) and 3-pointers made (17).
Marques Sumner led Stetson (3-11) with 14 points and Leo Goodman scored 12.
