EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon landed five-star defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux on the first day of the early signing period. The 6-foot-5, 234-pound Thibodeaux was ESPN's top overall prospect and the highest-ranked signee in Oregon's history. He chose the Ducks over Alabama, Florida and Florida State.

SEATTLE (AP) — Chris Petersen loaded up on defense with 12 of Washington's 20 signees during the early signing period coming on that side of the ball. Washington's top recruit was defensive tackle Faatui Tuitele, the top-rated player in Hawaii. Petersen said the Huskies may end up signing one or two more players and he expects a handful to be enrolled in time for spring practice.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate will return for his senior season. Tate made the decision after talking it over with his family and Wildcats coach Kevin Sumlin. Tate was limited by an ankle injury in 2018, but still threw for more 2,500 yards and 26 TDs

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Chase Jeter scored a career-high 21 points and Arizona bounced back from its first nonconference home loss in seven years with a 61-42 victory over Montana. Arizona had its 52-game home nonconference winning streak end, when Baylor crushed the Wildcats on the glass in a 58-49 victory. The Wildcats bounced back by holding the Grizzlies to 27 percent shooting while grabbing 10 more rebounds.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Colorado coach Mel Tucker's first recruiting class spanned the globe as he brought in an offensive lineman from Austria. Valentin Senn was viewed as the No. 1 prospect in Austria after playing for the Swarco Raiders club team.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Kayla Wells had a career-high 26 points, N'dea Jones had 17 rebounds and Chennedy Carter added a double-double as No. 23 Texas A&M had a big second half to hand USC its first loss of the season 71-51. The Aggies (9-2) trailed 32-28 at the half, then Carter and Wells split 32 points in the second half and Jones grabbed 11 rebounds.

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — New Williams scored a career-high 19 points, Braxton Huggins shook off a sluggish shooting night to score 18, and Fresno State won its sixth straight, beating California 95-73. Nate Grimes added 17 points with five rebounds.

CINCINNATI (AP) — Jarron Cumberland scored 19 of his 25 points during Cincinnati's dominant first half, and the Bearcats dominated every phase in a 93-64 rout of UCLA. Cincinnati pulled ahead by 20 in the first half and was never challenged as they beat the Bruins by double-digits for the second straight season.
