COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Jeremiah Tilmon scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Missouri to a 71-56 victory over Xavier. Foul trouble has been a recurring theme for Tilmon, a 6-foot-10 sophomore forward, but he avoided silly fouls while playing solid defense against the Musketeers.

UNDATED (AP) — Georgia freshman quarterback Justin Fields is now listed in the NCAA's transfer database among the players who have notified their school of their intention to leave, a person with access to database told The Associated Press on Tuesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the NCAA's so-called transfer portal is not public. Being listed in the portal means other schools can now contact and recruit Fields, the former five-star prospect from Kennesaw, Georgia.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Noah Locke scored 18 points, tying his career high, and Florida staved off a late rally to beat Mercer 71-63. Locke made 6 of 13 shots, including 5 of 11 from 3-point range, and was one of three Gators to reach double figures. KeVaughn Allen added 15 points off the bench, and Andrew Nembhard chipped in 10.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Memphis coach Penny Hardaway is says "it's kind of low class" for Tennessee coach Rick Barnes imply his players three days after the first meeting between the in-state rivals. Hardaway said Tuesday that Barnes is "trying to downgrade my guys for flopping and all that."

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina football coach Will Muschamp and three of his assistants received contract extensions. Muschamp's deal extends through the 2024 season when he will make $5.4 million. Offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon received a two-year extension while defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson and quarterbacks coach Dan Werner received one-year extensions. The agreements were approved by school trustees.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Rayshaun Hammonds and Nicolas Claxton scored 17 points apiece and Teshaun Hightower had 16 to lead Georgia over Oakland 81-69. The Bulldogs appeared headed for a repeat of Saturday's near upset of No. 20 Arizona State, when they blew an 18-point lead. After being down by 17 in the first half, Oakland (4-8) got as close as 66-64 with 4:56 to play. But Claxton and Hightower scored on five straight possessions to help Georgia (6-4) pull away.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Rhyne Howard scored 18 points, Tatyana Wyatt had 16 and No. 18 Kentucky coasted to a 99-39 win over Western Carolina. Six players scored in double figures for the Wildcats (11-1), with Howard grabbing eight rebounds and Taylor Murray dishing seven assists with five steals to go with her 11 points.
