EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Christian Cunningham had 13 points to go with 15 rebounds as Jacksonville State held off Evansville 55-50 on Saturday to give the Aces their first home loss this season.

Cunningham pulled down six offensive rebounds. Jason Burnell posted 12 points with 10 rebounds and two blocks and Ty Hudson drained 4 of 5 from long range to total 14 points.

Trailing 53-50, Evansville had a chance to tie but Evan Kuhlman missed a wide-open 3-point attempt with three seconds left. Cunningham made two free throws to complete the scoring.

Jacksonville State (6-4) had won five consecutive games before falling to Wichita State 69-65 on Wednesday.

Hudson closed out the scoring in the first half when he drained a 3-pointer and opened the scoring in the second half with another trey for a 33-22 lead. Shea Feehan quickly answered Hudson's second-half 3 with a 3-pointer to start the Aces on an 18-5 run to take a 40-38 lead at the 11:38 mark. Hudson responded with a 3 and Burnell added another as the Gamecocks retook the lead one minute later.

John Hall and Feehan had 14 points apiece for the Aces (5-5).
