President Donald Trump will officiate the coin toss.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Heisman Trophy will be awarded tonight in New York City. Three quarterbacks are the finalists: Oklahoma's Kyler Murray, Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa (tag-oh-vay-LOH'-ah) and Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins. Fifteen of the last 18 winners have been quarterbacks.

ATLANTA (AP) — A city that's known plenty of sports heartbreak gets another shot at a championship tonight when Atlanta United hosts the MLS Cup final against the Portland Timbers. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dwyane Wade is in line to become the 15th active player to appear in 1,000 regular-season games. The Miami guard is expected to hit that milestone tonight when the Heat visit the Los Angeles Clippers. Wade plans to retire after this season, his 16th.

ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (AP) — Slalom great Mikaela Shiffrin has confirmed her arrival as a pure speed racer by winning a World Cup super-G today in Switzerland.
