US Highway 6 reopens near Utah-Carbon County border after crash, officials say

SOLDIER SUMMIT — U.S. Highway 6 reopened in both directions near the Utah-Carbon County border after to a semitruck crash, officials said Thursday.

The highway was closed about 1 p.m. at milepost 221, about 10 miles southeast of Soldier Summit in Utah County, Utah Department of Transportation officials said. Grand County Sheriff’s Officials said on Facebook that a semitruck was involved in the crash.

Drivers were being detoured in the area, according to UDOT officials. The detour was in effect until just after 4 p.m., according to the agency’s website.

No other information about the crash was immediately available.
