Utah's demographics are changing fast, and that's likely to create major challenges.
Pam Perlich at the University of Utah's Bureau of Economic and Business Research says people are coming here from all over. Ad in aging baby boomers, differing levels of fertility and increasing life expectancy, and you've got challenges.
"We've never asked a generation to shoulder as much responsibility demographically as we are asking the kids who are currently in school to do," she said.
Perlich says the changes will impact everything from education to the delivery of health care to the need for affordable housing.
