BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Boise Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Westside Drive-In on State Street.
The Idaho Statesman reports that the robbery took place at around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Restaurant owner Lou Aaron told the Idaho Statesman the man was wearing blue jeans and a hooded, striped gray sweat shirt.
Aaron sys the man had a gun and pointed it at the store's cashier, who was on her way to deposit money in the restaurant's safe after closing.
The robber chased the cashier but stopped after realizing she had dropped the money.
Aaron says the robber picked up the undisclosed amount of money and escaped down the alley.
