MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) — Fatodd Lewis scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Tennessee-Martin to a 74-68 victory over winless Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday night.
Lewis, who got his fifth double-double of the season, finished 9 of 20 from the field and had back-to-back 3-pointers in the second half that put UT-Martin on top for good. Dominique Williams added 10 points for the Skyhawks (5-4), who shot 53 percent from the field and controlled the boards 37-24.
In a tight game where neither team broke away, UT-Martin edged on top for good with a 3-pointer from Lewis to make it 43-41 with 14:39 to play. The Skyhawks got a turnover and then Lewis quickly sank another 3 to pad the advantage to four and UT-Martin clung to the lead the rest of the way.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-14) got 17 points from Martaveous McKnight, Joe'Randle Toliver added 15 and Charles Jackson scored 14. The Golden Lions have lost 20 straight games stretching back to last season.
