STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Jordan Johnson had 22 points with four 3s, Brandon McCoy had 21 points and 13 rebounds, and UNLV led the entire second half to win its third straight, 81-76 over Pacific on Saturday night.
The Rebels (9-2) kept their lead between 8 and 16 for all but the final 10 seconds of the second half when Kendall Small's 3 cut it to 79-74. That was as close as the Tigers (5-7) would get.
UNLV had first-half runs of 11-2, 13-0 and 8-0 to build a 45-27 lead before Pacific scored the final four points of the period.
Shakur Juiston added 13 points and nine rebounds and Jovan Mooring had 12 points, including a pair of 3s, for the Rebels.
Roberto Gallinat had 20 points, Small scored 18 and Namdi Okonkwo added 11 for the Tigers.
