LAKE GROVE, N.Y. (AP) — A truck carrying thousands of gallons of heating oil has been involved in an accident with two other vehicles on a New York road, igniting a massive fire.
Police in Suffolk County, on Long Island, say no one was injured in the mishap reported Saturday at about 6 a.m. in Lake Grove.
Firefighters battled the blaze that engulfed one of the vehicles — a pickup truck. Police could not immediately say what caused the accident.
Part of Route 25 in Lake Grove is closed until at least Sunday.
Some utility lines had fallen as a result of the collision.
