SANDY, Utah (AP) — The family of a Utah couple who was shot and killed inside their home and set on fire five years ago is asking the public to share any information that could uncover the truth behind their deaths.
The Deseret News reports although it's been five years since the deaths of 59-year-old Ralph Salazar and his 55-year-old girlfriend Alice Griego, law enforcement officials have not made any arrests or identified a person of interest or a possible motive in the homicide case.
The case has since been passed down to the Unified Police Department's Cold Case Unit.
Family members asked for the public's help during a candlelight vigil in their honor on Thursday.
They have also hired a private investigator and say they will not give up until they have answers.
