The victim later died at a local hospital.
Police say they are looking for two men and a woman involved in the homicide.
The suspects are described as a tall African-American man, 40 years old, wearing a black beanie and black clothing, including "Carhartt-style" jeans; a short Hispanic man, 20 to 30 years old, wearing black clothes, including "Carhartt-style" jeans; and a woman wearing a black and red hoodie and light-colored pants.
Richardson says the suspects may be driving a black 1980s Ford Mustang convertible with red stripes down the sides.
