LOGAN — North and southbound U.S. 89/91 was temporarily closed Wednesday near 1000 West in Logan after a pickup truck T-boned another vehicle, and two children were ejected from the car.
The children were passengers in a red Toyota that was waiting at a stop sign to turn east onto the highway just after 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to Logan Police Chief Gary Jensen. The Toyota pulled out and was hit by a black pickup truck.
Both children were ejected but sustained "nominal" injuries, according to Jensen. They were both transported to Logan Regional Hospital, and it remains to be seen whether their injuries are more extensive.
The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, Jensen said.
The highway was closed until shortly after noon.
